About the job SettleMint India SettleMint India was formed in 2019, with headquarters in Delhi, India. The India team focuses on client deliverables and the development of high-performance low-code Blockchain. We operate from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru along with certain project locations. We are looking for a highly capable Senior SQL Data Engineer specialized in PostgreSQL and MS SQL to optimize our database performance and data workflows. You will be collaborating with our software developers, designing efficient database schemas, and integrating data storage and protection solutions. Responsibilities Design efficient, scalable database schemas to support data storage and retrieval.
Develop data models and database solutions that align with business requirements. Use ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is properly ingested, cleaned, and loaded. Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure fast query response times. Implement indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies in database queries and operations. Manage database security, including user roles, permissions, and data encryption. Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patching. Ensure data integrity and consistency across different environments. Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline database operations and data workflows. Use SQL and other programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks. Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure accuracy and reliability. Establish data governance practices to maintain data consistency and compliance.
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate databases with applications and systems. Provide support and training to other team members on best practices for data usage and management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Skills and experience At least 10 years experience as a Data Engineer. Strong proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational database concepts. Experience with database design, indexing, and optimization techniques. Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
