Position: Technical Editor Trainee
Role Overview: As a Technical Editor Trainee at Kriyadocs, you will play an integral role in transforming research and academic content into publication-ready formats, ensuring all elements of a manuscript are processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with globally renowned authors and collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the publishing industry while developing essential skills in content production, editing, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Editing: Edit academic and scientific content (articles, reports, manuscripts)
for accuracy and adherence to style guidelines. Ensure all essential elements (manuscripts, images, tables) are included.
- Style Application: Edit references to match customer style guides, typeset manuscripts.
- Production Management: Manage schedules to meet deadlines and perform final quality assurance before sign-off.
- SLA Compliance: Ensure timelines and quality standards meet customer Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Collaboration & Learning: Collaborate with teams, participate in process improvements, and stay updated on industry tools.
- Benchmark Tracking: Meet daily productivity targets, provide task updates, and flag issues to managers.
Skills and Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate processing of all manuscript elements (text, tables, figures, etc.).
- Time Management: Effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
