Overview:
We are seeking a talented Linux Device Driver Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain device drivers for various hardware components in a Linux environment. Your contributions will be crucial to enhancing the performance and functionality of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Linux device drivers for various hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand device specifications and requirements.
- Debug and resolve issues related to device drivers and hardware interactions.
- Optimize driver performance and ensure compatibility with various Linux kernel versions.
- Write and maintain documentation for driver development and usage.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in driver development.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the Linux kernel and driver architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Linux device driver development.
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel architecture and APIs.
- Proficiency in C programming; experience with C++ is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB).
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques (e.g., GDB, JTAG, strace).
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
