Job Overview:
As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the backend services of our product. You will work with a team of developers to implement efficient, scalable, and secure APIs. You will also interact with our PostgreSQL database and handle block storage systems, ensuring data is stored and managed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Work with PostgreSQL for database design, queries, and performance optimization.
- Implement and manage block storage solutions for handling large amounts of data.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration with the backend.
- Write clean,
efficient, and reusable code, following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Ensure security and data protection standards are implemented across all backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the development process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
- Experience with block storage systems and handling large-scale data solutions.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong understanding of security best practices in backend development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation technologies.
- Knowledge of message queues and event-driven architecture.
