Job Title: IT Academic Writer

Location: Remote

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Academic Writer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have experience creating content for university policies, student handbooks, staff handbooks, and computing / IT program handbooks. The candidate should possess a master's degree in the IT/Computing field and demonstrate proficiency in computer technologies

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development:

Create, review, and update content for university policies, student handbooks, staff handbooks, and program handbooks.

Ensure that all written materials are clear, concise, and aligned with institutional standards and guidelines.







Collaborate with university stakeholders to gather necessary information and requirements for content development.

Editing and Proofreading:

Edit and proofread IT Course documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.

Apply formatting and styles in Microsoft Word to maintain a professional and cohesive appearance.

Research and Analysis:

Conduct research to support the development of comprehensive and up-to-date academic content.

Analyze existing documents and recommend improvements based on current best practices in higher education.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all written materials comply with university policies and accreditation standards.

Stay informed about changes in educational regulations and incorporate them into relevant documents.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with university administration, faculty, and staff to understand their needs and incorporate feedback.

Participate in virtual meetings and discussions to align content development with university goals.







Qualifications:

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computing / IT is required.

Experience:

● Proven experience in creating content for university policy, student handbooks, staff handbooks, and program handbooks.

● Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including advanced formatting and document management skills.

Skills:

● Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

● Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

● Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:







● Experience working in higher education institutions in the field of computing/IT.

● Familiarity with accreditation processes and educational regulations.

Work Environment: This is a remote, full-time position. Candidates must have reliable internet access and the ability to participate in virtual meetings as needed.
