Location - Oman
Job Role : Senior Officer - Life and Medical Underwriting
Salary : Exciting Salary Tax Free. ( will DM to relevant and interested candidates )
KRA's :
1. Generate quotes for clients directly or through brokers.
2. Adhere to company rating structure, underwriting guidelines, and procedures.
3. Manage group medical renewals and maintain the company's retention ratio.
4. Address all inquiries related to group medical policies promptly.
5. Participate in and submit tenders for group medical and life requests for quotation (RFQ).
6. Evaluate and assess medical risk factors to determine appropriate coverage and premiums.
7.
Collaborate with sales teams and brokers to provide underwriting support and expertise.
8. Analyze group medical data and trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
9. Review and interpret medical reports, claims history, and other relevant information.
10. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in underwriting processes.
11. Presenting clients with the awareness session, on boarding new clients
12. Policy Issuance and related operations
Skills:
1. Ability to analyze complex medical information, assess risks, and make sound underwriting decisions.
2. Capability to address and resolve complex underwriting challenges effectively
3. Flexibility to adjust to changing regulations, industry trends, and underwriting guidelines.
4. Hands-on experience in navigating regulatory requirements and ensuring underwriting practices comply with standards.
5. Understanding of medical terminology, conditions, treatments, and procedures to assess health risks accurately.
6.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to interpret medical data and trends.
7. Understanding of claims processing and investigation to facilitate underwriting decisions
Qualifications for Senior Officer, Medical Underwriter:
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Medicine, Nursing, or a related discipline is required.
• A Master's degree or professional certification in a related field would be considered an advantage.
Experience Required for Senior Officer, Medical Underwriter:
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in medical underwriting or a related field.
• Some experience in a supervisory or leadership role would be preferred.
