Role Overview:
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high-quality software solutions in Java and mobile technologies. You will be the key driver of technical execution, guiding teams on best practices, ensuring project milestones are met, and promoting Agile methodologies. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle to successfully execute and deliver high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery & Execution:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of projects in Java and mobile technologies (iOS, Android).
- Ensure project goals, timelines,
and objectives are met while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Oversee project scope, risks, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery within constraints.
- Team Leadership & Technical Guidance:
- Guide and mentor development teams on technical best practices, code quality, and architectural decisions in Java and mobile app development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, DevOps, Infra) to deliver optimal technical solutions.
- Conduct regular code reviews and facilitate technical discussions to resolve complex issues.
- Agile Methodology Implementation:
- Champion Agile practices (Scrum) and promote continuous improvement within the teams.
- Oversee sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and manage the overall backlog in collaboration with Product Owners.
- Drive improvements in development and deployment processes, ensuring a high level of team velocity and collaboration.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with clients,
business stakeholders, and product owners to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable technical deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for delivery status, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Communicate progress and challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks, dependencies, and blockers early in the project lifecycle, proactively mitigating or addressing them.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of project health and quality through appropriate metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and mobile technologies.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end software delivery in Agile environments.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a leadership role (Team Lead, Technical Lead, or Delivery Manager).
- Technical Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of Java, including frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, etc.
- Strong understanding of mobile development frameworks and platforms (iOS, Android).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar).
- Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud).
- Experience in integrating mobile solutions with backend systems.
