Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented engineer to lead our GA/Body/Paint Shop's Maintenance & Automation team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and quality. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can leverage your expertise to directly impact VinFast's production success.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of painting equipment, including robots, spray booths, and conveyor systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to identify areas for automation and develop solutions to improve efficiency and quality control.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in painting technologies and automation solutions, recommending and implementing appropriate upgrades.
- Prepare and present technical reports, data analysis, and recommendations to improve paint shop operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards within the Paint Shop.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of technicians.
- Strong understanding of painting processes, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with automation technologies, including robots, PLC programming.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software (desired).
