Role: Oracle ADW Architect/Lead

Responsibilities
- We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (DW) Architect/Lead with over 12 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle Autonomous Database solutions, data warehousing architecture, and experience leading projects involving cloud-based data solutions. This role will focus on solutioning and leading a small team of ADW developers to integrate Oracle EBS/Fusion data (Finance and HR) into ADW to design and deliver key financial and management reports for CXOs.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Architect and develop Oracle Autonomous DW solutions for various business functions.
- Design scalable data models, build data pipelines, and perform ETL/ELT processes.
Data Management
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and security of data in the warehouse.
- Implement data governance policies for data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Performance Optimization
- Tune and optimize SQL queries for better performance.
- Analyze data usage patterns and optimize data loading and query performance within ADW.
Reporting & Visualization
- Collaborate with client BI teams to provide data insights through Oracle Analytics or to deliver complex CXO level financial and management reporting.
Integration & Collaboration
- Work closely with teams to integrate ADW with other cloud services and client’s existing systems.
- Lead a small team to provide technical oversight and training to best leverage ADW capabilities.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues with ADW performance,
ensuring minimal downtime.
- Monitor storage usage and data accessibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse development.
- Experience with one or more ETL tools (ODI, Azure Data Factory etc.) and strong SQL/ PL-SQL expertise.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts like dimensional modeling, fact tables, etc.
- Familiarity with OCI for managing databases and integration of services.
- Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Oracle SQL Developer) and BI tools (Oracle Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in optimizing queries,
troubleshooting data load performance, and improving data access.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally in a large, complex environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with retail business processes (e.g., financial reconciliation, profitability analysis, HR, supply chain, retail sales/inventory) in large-scale organizations.
- Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), preferred and/or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of Oracle Machine Learning (OML)
or Oracle APEX for application development.
- Desirable: Certification in Oracle Autonomous Database or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
