We are seeking a skilled Oracle MICROS Simphony POS Developer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to convert existing APIs developed in .NET to JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle MICROS Simphony POS systems and a strong understanding of both .NET and JavaScript, ensuring a seamless transition of the API functionality.
Employment Type: Full-time, (Immediate) (US Central Time Shift 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CT)
Key Responsibilities:
- API Conversion: Convert existing APIs built in .NET to JavaScript while ensuring the performance, functionality, and security of the APIs are maintained.
- Integration with Oracle MICROS Simphony POS:
Implement and optimize the APIs for Oracle MICROS Simphony POS, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
- Code Maintenance: Refactor and maintain the existing codebase to ensure it adheres to best practices, optimizing for both performance and scalability.
- Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to validate the API functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the conversion process.
- Documentation: Document the API conversion process and ensure all changes are clearly recorded for future reference.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to ensure a smooth transition and integration of the new JavaScript-based APIs into the overall system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Oracle MICROS Simphony POS systems.
- Strong proficiency in both .NET and JavaScript, with experience converting between the two.
- Experience with API development, integration, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including testing and code reviews.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Oracle databases and integrating with POS systems.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
