Imaging Endpoints (IE) is an Imaging Technology and Imaging Clinical Research Organization (iCRO). We are passionately focused on our vision to Connect Imaging to the CureTM. Imaging Endpoints is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with offices in Cambridge,
Massachusetts; London, UK; Leiden, Netherlands; Basel, Switzerland; Hyderabad, India and Shanghai, China. We are an affiliate of HonorHealth, one of the largest healthcare systems nationally, and Scottsdale Medical Imaging Limited (SMIL/RadPartners), the largest private radiology group in the United States. We are recognized as the world’s largest and most preeminent iCRO in oncology.
The Imaging Informatics Systems Manager is primarily responsible for providing technical leadership and assistance to users of IE’s Imaging Information Systems, including but not limited to the following:
- Analysis and design to support new requirements.
- Imaging Systems architecture, installation, and testing.
- Problem and Capacity Management for Imaging Systems to identify systemic problems.
- Work with vendors on the resolution of problems.
- Train and coach others on Imaging Technology.
The individual in this role must demonstrate leadership, maturity, initiative,
and enthusiasm in their work and effectively work in a fast-paced team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Imaging Informatics Systems Manager shall be competent and provide technical leadership in the following areas:
- Project Management:
Identify the goals, scope, risks, and key project team members.
Evaluate the feasibility of a project.
Utilize common project management tools.
- Operations:
Design and implement Quality Improvement (QI) procedures.
Develop and implement policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with global regulations.
- Communications:
Communicate with healthcare professionals using appropriate terminology.
Alert clinical staff about issues regarding system availability or changes.
Provide decision-makers (business units, VP, etc.) with information about system changes.
Develop user feedback mechanisms.
- Image Management
Manage the design of the environment for viewing and interpreting images.
Evaluate the human-computer interface.
Determine optimal image flow and implement processes that ensure data integrity.
Import and export outside studies into a PACS.
- Imaging Information Technology
Assess storage and archive needs and determine appropriate architecture.
Design and specify network architecture.
Implement and maintain appropriate server hardware and software.
Retrieve information from databases for operations, quality assurance, and planning
purposes.
Identify and implement Innovation and IT standards.
Develop appropriate replacement schedules.
PACS architecture.
- Systems Management
Determine the requirements for optimal, cost-effective system capacity and throughput.
Plan Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategies.
Use problem management and system availability tools and strategies.
Plan and evaluate data migration procedures.
Maintain data security and individual privacy.
- Clinical Engineering
Assess imaging modality capabilities.
Supervise modality integration.
- Medical Informatics
Identify and implement medical imaging standards.
Apply appropriate IHE guidelines.
Integrate image architecture into IE’s long-range plans.
- Works with infrastructure teams, application teams, service providers, technology consultants,
and end-users to ensure robust solutions to maintain secure and highly available systems.
- Perform Problem and Capacity Management for Imaging Information Systems to identify and resolve systemic problems in the environment.
- Work with IT teams to provide monitoring and reporting capabilities, and train Level 1 support to resolve problems.
- Provide after-hours support.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of PACS Imaging Information Systems experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of DICOM, HL7, IHE and other health related standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Windows systems.
- Minimum of 2 years designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
- Minimum of 2 years leading technical teams.
SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of Imaging Information Systems technologies and integration.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills related to DICOM and HL7 applications.
- Good knowledge of ITIL.
- Service oriented approach, flexible, and proactive.
- Must have superior attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-driven, ability to get the job done with little supervision, can-do positive attitude.
- Ability to excel in a team environment.
- Ability to work in strict compliance with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
- Must be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
