Role: Azure Data Engineer with Power BI, Python & PySpark

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI, Python, and PySpark to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining data solutions on Azure, leveraging advanced data engineering tools and techniques. Additionally, you will utilize Power BI to create insightful reports and visualizations that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Azure, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
- Build, optimize,
and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and PySpark.
- Develop data models and ETL processes to support analytics and reporting needs, using Python and PySpark for data transformations.
- Create and manage advanced Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business intelligence requirements, integrating data from various sources like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, ensure data integrity, and implement governance policies.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure high availability, performance, and data quality.
- Ensure best practices in data architecture, security, and compliance, aligning with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on the latest Azure services, Power BI features, and data engineering technologies to enhance solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working on the Azure platform.
- Expertise in Python and PySpark for data engineering and large-scale data processing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
- Proficiency in creating and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, PySpark, and ADF.
- Proven experience with Power BI: developing advanced reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and data lakes.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Experience in ensuring data governance, security, and compliance in Azure environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other data visualization tools like Tableau or QlikView.
- Familiarity with real-time data processing using Azure Stream Analytics.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
