Kline is seeking full-time market research professionals with a keen understanding and interest in the mid-stream and downstream petroleum derivatives industry to join its Energy practice as a Project Lead. The role serves global clients and requires bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, and adaptable individuals capable of working effectively across various industry subsegments and service offerings. A Project Lead in the Energy Market Research Practice will primarily be responsible for analyzing markets, developing competitive and technical information, and crafting robust analyses and insights for client projects through both secondary and primary research methods.
The ideal candidate will be expected to manage their work and support junior as well as senior staff during the execution of projects.
As an integral part of the global project team within Kline’s Energy Practice, a Project Lead will be expected to utilize the best-suited tools to research key markets and develop strategic recommendations for clients, including:
- Demonstrating strong experience in conducting comprehensive secondary (public and paid databases) and primary research on various industries, macro developments, and regions Developing and analyzing data: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential
- Preparing written reports or presentations following Kline standards
- Summarizing project information for clear presentation of results and conclusions to clients Interfacing with clients, if necessary, in the presentation of the results
- Maintaining a fundamental working knowledge of the basic Kline databases and reports
- Working constructively with other team members and the project supervisor to meet project goals Having experience working in a multicultural environment will be an added advantage.
Must also have the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently search and analyze secondary sources, such as:
Business databases • Engineering/Technical databases • Government agency records, including environmental, labor, and tax sources • Trade and industry media, and industry reports • Other industry/public information sources
The focus for this position will be downstream petroleum, including lubricants and specialties, where Kline serves most of the world’s leading oil companies. The firm operates worldwide across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East,
and Asia Pacific and therefore can quickly mobilize teams that have the optimum blend of local and global experience and insights.
