EV Powertrain (Battery) Control Systems Engineer

Candidate should be will be willing to relocate to JAPAN

【Specifically 】

To develop powertrains for next-generation vehicles including battery electric vehicles (BEV)/hybrid electric vehicles (HEV/PHEV)/fuel cell vehicles (FCV),and engine vehicles.

System concept design, architecture formulation, realization, and verification for a single-vehicle

・Design and verification of control algorithms and functions

・Design, design, verification, and testing of hardware/software requirements for the above ECUs.

・Simulation and evaluation of powertrain systems and related components

・Development of new powertrain control utilizing connectivity

*Interaction with overseas subsidiaries, business partners, etc.





will be required in the course of work.

*In the future, there is a possibility of overseas assignment.

*This position may be reassigned to other duties as determined by the company based on expertise, aptitude, company needs,etc.

【Examples of target systems/components】

・Powertrain control systems/charge/supply management systems, etc.

・Motor, inverter, battery, engine, transmission, etc.

【Examples of connected applications】

・Research and development of powertrain control technology that enables fuel-efficient driving under the elevation of the route to the destination, which is determined in advance using car navigation system information.

・Research and development of technology to expand the use of electric vehicles and improve lifestyle convenience by linking powertrains with various devices such as charging stations and smartphones.

【Development tools】

C language, HILS system (dSPACE, DENSO TEN, A&D;), GT-Power, MATLAB, SIMULINK, other Honda-specific tools,etc.

North America, China, Korea, Thailand, Spain, etc. Approx.10 employees

【Required Skills 】

Knowledge and work experience in any of the following

・Experience in embedded control software development (any industry)

・Experience in vehicle system design

・Experience in vehicle adaptation development

・English Level: Business

・Experience in control development in powertrain (engine/motor/inverter/battery/power plant/heat management)

・Experience in analysis and simulation development of automobiles and components
