Role Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support our cloud data migration and processing initiatives. This role involves leveraging AWS and Spark technologies to build, optimize, and execute data migration strategies. You will also be responsible for parallel and batch data processing,
ensuring scalability and efficiency across the data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data migration projects on the cloud, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using AWS services and Spark.
- Implement parallel and batch processing strategies for high-volume data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data migration aligns with business needs.
- Develop scalable, high-performance solutions for processing and managing large datasets.
- Ensure data quality and monitor the performance of data workflows.
Core Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in AWS services (e.g., S3, EMR, EC2, Lambda, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for data processing.
- Proven experience in data migration on the cloud , particularly AWS.
- Proficiency in Java programming for data engineering tasks.
- Experience in parallel and batch processing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud data migration and AWS technologies.
- Hands-on experience in handling large datasets and optimizing data processing workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex data challenges.
