Senior Tender and Bidding Engineer : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or relevant field). based in Mumbai having 10-12 yrs experience in construction or real estate

Responsible for managing and preparing technical and commercial proposals in response to tenders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other client inquiries. The role involves detailed review of project requirements, preparation of bid documentation, cost estimation, and coordination with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely and competitive submissions. The Tender and Bidding Engineer plays a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining positive relationships with clients.







Also support the COO and Execution teams for post contract management – Extra Items, Escalation, Claims and Project commercial closure.

Key Responsibilities

 Tender Preparation:

o Analyse and interpret tender documents, including scope of work, specifications, and contractual requirements.

o Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements and internal capabilities.

o Work closely with the sales and technical teams to gather relevant information needed for the proposal.

 Cost Estimation:

o Conduct detailed cost estimation for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for the project.

o Ensure that cost estimates are accurate, competitive, and reflect the scope of work defined in the tender documents.

 Proposal Documentation:

o Draft clear, concise, and comprehensive tender documents, including technical specifications, methodologies, timelines, and pricing.







o Ensure compliance with all client and regulatory requirements in the tender submission.

o Coordinate with legal teams to ensure contractual terms and conditions are reviewed and incorporated into bids as needed.

 Stakeholder Coordination:

o Liaise with various internal teams (engineering, procurement, project management, finance, etc.) to collect relevant data for bid preparation.

o Engage with external vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations for materials and services.

o Participate in client meetings, presentations, and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate proposal development.

 Bid Management:

o Maintain a tender/bid submission schedule and ensure timely delivery of all required documentation.

o Track and manage multiple bids simultaneously,





ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Monitor and manage the entire bid process from initial inquiry through submission, including follow-up and revisions as necessary.

 Risk Assessment & Compliance:

o Identify potential risks in the bid process (technical, commercial, or contractual) and suggest mitigation strategies.

o Ensure that all submitted tenders are compliant with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

o Keep abreast of market trends and competitor offerings to enhance the competitiveness of bids.

 Post-Tender Analysis:

o Participate in post-bid negotiations and clarifications with clients as necessary.

o Conduct win/loss analysis on bids to identify areas for improvement in future submissions.







o Maintain detailed records of bids submitted, results, and lessons learned.

 Post Contract Support and Commercial closure of projects

Qualifications & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or relevant field).

 10 to 12 years of experience in tendering, bidding, or a related engineering role,

preferably in Construction (industry).

 Strong understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to interpret technical specifications.

 Familiarity with tendering processes, contractual terms, and bid documentation.

 Proficiency in cost estimation and pricing methodologies.
