Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration and high-performance data processing.
You'll collaborate with our data and engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making and enhance the overall data architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into GCP data warehouses.
- Optimize data architecture for high-performance data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data pipelines.
- Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage to manage data workflows.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, data storage, and data retrieval.
Core Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in designing and building data pipelines using GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration best practices.
- Hands-on experience with data processing tools and frameworks, including Apache Beam or similar technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex data workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with GCP and data engineering.
- Experience with data visualization tools and integrating GCP data with BI platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for data pipeline automation and deployment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
