Business Development Manager
Job description
The Event Sponsorship Sales Manager is responsible for raising money through the sale of sponsorship and exhibit packages for conferences by targeting various companies, organizations and associations. The Manager will be responsible for creating sponsorship and exhibitor packages according to client specification and attending company meetings, sales update meetings and conference planning meetings as required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough analysis of potential sponsors. Managing, maintaining and developing strong relationships with key clients to deliver increased revenues from more creative solutions.
- Producing and executing the marketing plan for sponsorship sales.
- Building new sponsorship propositions that deliver on clients' objectives.
- Assisting with association conference research projects, identifying key opportunities, compiling bid documents, tender documents and sales presentations.
- Generating business for the company through identifying sponsorship potential for potential clients.
- Attending events and liaising with sponsor clients onsite to ensure that their contract is fulfilled and all of their concerns and needs are addressed maintaining a sales database, reporting activities and preparing contracts keeping up-to-date with the current trends and developments of the market, industry networking, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years prior industry related business development experience
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Focused and goal-oriented
