Job Description

Bid Manager

Required Basic Qualifications:

- BE - GeoInformatics, MSc Spatial Sciences, BE/B-Tech, MBA
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management, pre-sales, or business development roles, preferably within the GIS, AI, data analytics, or IT professional services sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully responding to RFPs and securing new business.
- Experience in preparing and delivering client presentations and proposals.
- Strong understanding of the GIS domain, AI, data analytics, and IT professional services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.






- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software

Job Responsibilities:

- RFP Management: Review and analyze RFPs to understand client requirements and develop tailored responses. Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive proposals. Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client specifications and align with IST's strategic goals.

- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to clarify requirements, address queries, and build strong relationships. Conduct client presentations and demonstrations to effectively communicate IST's solutions and capabilities. Provide pre-sales support by offering technical and strategic insights to potential clients.

- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends and client needs. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for obtaining new business and achieving sales targets.





Maintain a pipeline of potential leads and track progress through the sales cycle.

- Proposal Development: Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and persuasiveness. Develop pricing strategies and ensure cost-effective solutions are proposed. Manage the proposal approval process and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure proposal content is accurate and feasible. Mentor and guide junior team members in bid management and proposal development.
