- The Divisional Control Office (DCO) ensures high levels of integrity in the division and maintains a strong risk culture to support a sustainable business control environment.
- DCO strategy focuses on enhancing risk management information and reinforcing governance and risk culture.
- The Corporate Bank (CB) DCO oversees CB Risk & Control Assessments (RCA), providing a central point for oversight.
- The role involves supporting businesses by driving Risk & Control Assessment according to NFRM guidelines.
- RCA is a crucial tool for managing operational risks by enabling effective risk profiling and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities: -
Collaborate with businesses to conduct Risk & Control Assessments as per NFRM guidelines.
- Analyze data to update risk profiles, inherent risk, control environment, and residual risk ratings.
- Participate in 1LoD-led RCA meetings to drive risk discussions, focusing on emerging risks.
- Coordinate with businesses and 2LoD teams, assisting in 2LoD challenges.
- Prepare RCA reports and obtain business approvals.
- Document risk mitigation decisions in alignment with risk appetite.
- Deliver high-quality global governance decks and report trends for senior management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant or MBA from a premier institute with 20+ years of experience in Risk & Controls or Internal Audit in the banking sector.
- Experience in Corporate Banking or Transaction Banking product risks is preferred.
- Expertise in risk management and corporate banking products, processes, and systems.
- Proven ability to lead activities independently and manage teams effectively.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills for risk assessment.
- Familiarity with DB organization is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work proactively as part of a team.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in automating tasks in Excel is an advantage but not mandatory.
