Responsibilities
- Design user experiences (UX) and plan out detailed flows and structures for assigned features/sub-features, taking into account Web3-specific dependencies, such as wallet integrations, blockchain transactions,
and decentralized data handling.
- Create wireframes based on approved UX flows, ensuring blockchain-related elements like smart contract interactions and crypto asset displays are seamlessly integrated, and coordinate with engineers for review before moving to mock-up creation.
- Develop mock-ups and prototypes, translating complex Web3 concepts into user-friendly designs. Ensure all designs undergo thorough product and content review before development.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and blockchain teams to document processes, ensuring transparency in how decentralized elements (such as dApps, tokenomics) impact design.
- Proficient error handling is crucial—design solutions to guide users through complex blockchain interactions, such as transaction failures, gas fees, or crypto wallet issues, while maintaining a smooth UX.
- Be proactive in exploring Web3 UX/UI trends, ensuring design choices fit within this emerging ecosystem.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in UI/UX Design ,
with at least 1-2 years in a Web3 or blockchain-focused environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your work in mobile and web design, especially highlighting any experience with decentralized applications (dApps), cryptocurrency platforms, or blockchain-integrated products.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Zeplin , and blockchain-focused tools or frameworks such as Web3.js or ethers.js .
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Github , and an understanding of blockchain interactions (wallet integration, smart contract UX) is a plus.
- Experience with CSS frameworks and design systems like Bootstrap or PatternFly . Familiarity with decentralized design frameworks would be advantageous.
- Strong ability to deliver sketches, wireframes, mock-ups,
and detailed documentation based on discussions within cross-functional teams, particularly in a decentralized, remote-first environment.
- Ability to manage multiple feature dependencies, abstract levels of decentralization, and blockchain complexities while ensuring a seamless user experience.
- A deep curiosity and understanding of Web3 concepts such as DeFi, NFTs, and tokenomics.
