As Senior Electrical Design Engineer,
you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cutting-edge projects. Your role will see you managing the controls design process on a variety of projects.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Electrical System Design : Review and sign off layouts, design PLC and High-level control nework layouts, assist project managers during the electrical installation tender process along with the installation and commissioning phases.
- Technical Documentation : Produce comprehensive electrical schematics, field device layouts, motor control panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and other necessary documentation in adherence to contract specifications and relevant standards.
- Project Management : take full accountability for the electrical portion of the projects including meeting specifications, time schedules and budgets.
- Testing and Troubleshooting : Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- People Management : Supervise other engineers in the same field,
assist in the training of junior engineers

Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you should bring the following skills, experience, and attributes :
- Electrical Design Proficiency : Demonstrated expertise in electrical system design with a focus on baggage and materials handling projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering : A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
- Technical Competence : Possess a strong working knowledge of EPlan or AutoCAD, PLC Programming packages (preferably Rockwell, Omron, and Siemens), and SCADA packages (preferably Iconix or Ifix).
- Project Experience : Demonstrate experience in managing controls projects from concept to client handover, preferably within Baggage or Material Handling Systems.
- Regulatory Compliance : Display a working knowledge and understanding with AS / NZ3000 or equivalent international wiring standards and regulations is essential.
