Job description - Financial Services Risk Management, Corporate Treasury Accounting

Key skills and qualifications

• CA (Must) with at least 2 years to 6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate treasury advisory function of a consulting organization or a corporate treasury back office/ financial accounting department - should have good understanding of Treasury policies, processes, procedures and financial reporting requirements and preferably should have played a role in defining them.

• Additional qualification of FRM/CFA would be added an advantage.







• Strong academic record at 10, 10+2 and graduate examinations

• Demonstrable, relevant experience in Corporate Treasury, Financial Institution, Banks, or reputed consulting firms focused on treasury accounting and treasury operations.

• Keen desire to continue developing and integrating corporate treasury accounting and operational skills within both a challenging and rewarding commercial environment.

• Excellent understanding of IFRS, Indian GAAP and US GAAP requirements (IFRS 9, IAS 39, Ind AS 109, ASC 815) of hedge accounting and financial instrument accounting

• Hands-on experience of implementation of cash flow hedges, fair value hedges and net investment hedges under IFRS, Indian GAAP and US GAAP.







• Practical experience of LIBOR transition provisions from operational and accounting perspective for Corporates and Banks.

• Exposure to Treasury Management System especially around hedge accounting will be preferred.

• Commercial acumen to help practice to grow by continuous innovation and new solutions.

• Strong understanding of corporate treasury operations and financial products

• Working knowledge of foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management, cash and liquidity management, borrowings management and investments management.

• Understanding of Spot and Derivative market operations for interest rate and foreign exchange products including risk management (hedging strategies)





and basic understanding of valuation aspects of the same

• Well-versed in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Power BI

• Knowledge of Analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau is preferred

• Strong communication skills to be able to interact with C-Suite

• Leadership experience at school/college level preferable

• High levels of commitment to work

Role and responsibilities

• The candidate will be expected to lead/ assist assignments involving assisting Indian and international corporates and Banks in their treasury accounting operations.







• The candidate will be expected to lead/ assist assignments in providing services to audit teams in review of derivative valuation and hedge accounting application in Indian and international corporates and Banks in their treasury accounting operations.

• The candidate will be expected to lead / assist Directors and Partners in Corporate Treasury assignments including advisory / Implementation or review of hedge accounting and review of treasury operations areas such as foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management.

• Ability to understand newly issued accounting pronouncements issued by regulatory authorities and implement with ease by suggesting simple and practical methods.

• The assignments would include providing advisory / conducting reviews for the areas mentioned above covering strategy, policy, governance, day to day operations, process improvement opportunities, compliance to internal directives and regulatory requirements etc.







• The candidate will be expected to take-up business development initiatives and create proposals, responses to RFPs, thought leaderships, etc.

• The candidate will be expected to have very strong communication skills and confidence to interact independently with CXO level

• The candidate will be expected to coach junior team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development

• The position is based out of Mumbai and the candidate must be open to travel
