Job Overview : The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating interior design projects from concept through completion.
This includes managing design timelines, budgets, client communications, and team coordination to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard.
The role also involves on-site management to ensure that installations and build-outs are completed according to design specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities :
- Project Planning : Develop detailed project plans, outlining the scope, design objectives, timelines, and budgets for each project.
- Team Coordination : Work closely with designers, procurement teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Client Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring their vision is being realized.
- Budget Management : Create and manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and projects stay within financial limits.
- Timeline Management : Oversee the project schedule, ensuring all phases (design, procurement, construction, installation)
are completed on time.
Proactively address any potential delays.
Vendor & Contractor Management : Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Conduct negotiations when necessary to secure favorable terms.
- Quality Control : Ensure that all work, from design execution to installations, meets the firm’s quality standards and client expectations.
- Site Management : Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address any on-site issues. Ensure that installations are aligned with design specifications.
- Problem Solving : Anticipate project risks and challenges, resolving issues quickly to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Documentation & Reporting :
Maintain detailed project records, including progress reports, budget updates, and client approvals.
Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of ongoing projects.
Post-Project Review : Conduct project closeout meetings, gather client feedback, and ensure that all deliverables are met before final handover.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience : 5-7 years of experience in project management within interior design, architecture, or construction, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Project Management Skills : Strong understanding of project management methodologies,
with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar) and design tools (e.
g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Financial Acumen : Excellent budget management skills with the ability to forecast, monitor, and control project costs.
- Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage teams, contractors, and clients effectively.
- Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions, especially under tight deadlines.
- Attention to Detail :
Meticulous in ensuring that all aspects of the design and construction process meet the highest standards.
Work Environment :
- Fast-paced and dynamic work environment, split between the office and on-site locations.
- Regular site visits required to oversee project progress and manage on-site teams.
- High level of client interaction and team collaboration.
