Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Designation: Senior Project Manager

Requirement: Immediate

Role Definition: Plan and execute projects from successful bid to closure in all aspects. Support business development and estimation activities.

Requirements: Education & Experience: Graduation in Mechanical Engineering is a must

Bachelors from Tier II College/university or better + 12 years of relevant experience

OR

Diploma from Tier II College/university or better + 15 years of relevant experience.

Following relaxations in experience will be allowed:

For dual degrees 1 year (provided one degree is in Mechanical engineering and other in Mechanical (PG) or Business)

For MBA, MS from Tier II or better 3 years

Relevant Experience (Must):





Directly executed projects for PSU, Govt undertakings

Experience in: Executing mechanical projects involving pipelines (MS, SS, CI, etc.), structure, equipment Installation etc.

Professional Proficiency (to execute your duties correspondence written & verbal) English & Hindi is a must

Responsibility & Deliverables:

1. Plan and deliver/execute projects (turnkey, service, consultancy) from successful bid to closure including stakeholder management. Obtain completion certificate from client and manage any claims during guarantee / warranty / defect liability period.

2. Customer satisfaction. Recognition from stakeholders.

3. Increase profitability.

4. Support business development and estimating activities.

5. Generate valid leads for future projects by co-ordination with clients, consultants, etc.

6. Look for new offerings and how those can be delivered exclusively or by packaging with existing portfolio.

Tasks & Activities (linked to responsibilities & deliverables):

1.





Execute project based on tender / order documents.

2. Periodic customer satisfaction survey. Recognition / awards from stakeholders in categories like safety, quality, etc.

3. Increase value, profits and reduce costs in project.

4. Visits to sites, inputs on upcoming bids and tenders.

5. Keep an eye on upcoming projects at clients, industry, consultants, etc.

Measurement Metrics:

1. Projects completed in time. If extended without LD and recovery of additional expenses.

2. Customer satisfaction survey score more than 90%

3. No cost overruns. Overall improvement in project profitability attributable to improvements and cost reductions of at least 5%. Factors out of control (or which cannot be influenced) like market, competition will be excluded.





Deliverables like quality, safety, etc need to be met and cannot be compromised.

Reporting : Manager projects

Software: MS Office (excel, word, power point), Windows, MS Project or equivalent, Emails

Awareness of: Compliance (statutory), Standards (ISO, OISD, ISI, ASTM, API, etc), Finance (taxation, etc.), tendering/bidding and project execution process.

Knowledge of HSE compliance like TBT. JSR, JHA etc.

Location: Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu

Travel: As required for visits, meetings, and follow-ups.

Continuity: In case any certification/s is/are presented and if the same are considered while evaluation, the same needs to be maintained / renewed and borne by self as required by respective issuing authorities, including any continuous learning requirements.







Remuneration: CTC Rs. 9 lacs per annum (negotiable)

Fitness: Physically and mentally fit and capable to undertake above mentioned responsibilities.
