High Tension (HT) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our renewable energy initiatives, particularly in solar PV plant projects.
Key Responsibilities:1. Develop detailed cost estimates for HT and EHV electrical projects, with a focus on renewable energy systems, especially solar PV plants.2. Analyze technical specifications and project requirements to determine accurate material, labor, and equipment costs.3.
Prepare a comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for electrical components and systems.4. Conduct site surveys to assess project conditions, particularly for solar PV installations.5. Collaborate with our design teams to optimize electrical systems for cost-efficiency and performance.6.
Research and stay updated on market prices for electrical equipment and materials in the renewable energy sector.7. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for our clients.8. Prepare and review tender documents for EPC projects in the 100-200 MW range.9.
Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.10.
Perform cost analysis and forecasting for ongoing and future renewable energy projects.11. Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation tools specific to the Indian power sector.12.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations in India.13. Coordinate with project managers to align cost estimates with overall project goals. Qualifications:1.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.2. Minimum 5 years of experience in costing and estimation for HT and EHV electrical projects, preferably in renewable energy.3. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in solar PV plants and other renewable energy applications.4.
Proficiency in electrical design software and cost estimation tools.5.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.7.
Good communication skills in English and Hindi.8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.9. Familiarity with Indian and international industry standards (IS, IEC, IEEE).
Preferred Skills:1. Experience with power system simulation software (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT).2. Knowledge of project management principles.3.
Expertise in solar PV plant design and grid integration.4. Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.5. Familiarity with other renewable energy technologies (wind, biomass, etc.).
