We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Asset Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Software Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of software assets, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic business goals. This role is perfect for someone with strong knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) , an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the organization's Software Asset Management (SAM) processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of software inventory, licenses,
and related assets across the organization.
- Implement and continuously improve software asset management processes, tools, and procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors, procurement, and legal teams to negotiate software contracts and renewals, ensuring cost-effective licensing models.
- Monitor and audit software usage to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
- Provide strategic insights to optimize software usage, reduce costs, and forecast future licensing needs.
- Work closely with the IT and Procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of software assets and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits of software usage, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and external regulations.
- Support organizational projects related to software upgrades, migrations, and deployments by managing software licenses and contracts.
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or a related field.
- Expertise in Software License Management , Contract Management , and Vendor Negotiation .
- Strong knowledge of Software Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, or Snow License Manager).
- Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) is a plus.
- Ability to manage and audit complex software environments, including cloud and on-premises licensing models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize software spend and maintain compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and external vendors.
