The project manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple special projects assigned. PM has to ensure project scope is defined, create and manage the project plan, create and deliver status reports to project stakeholders and highlight risks of the projects along with probable solutions of the roadblocks. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the project goals are accomplished and met as per the Cost, Quality, and delivery timelines.
Another crucial responsibility will be to manage and track all budgets, milestones, payments and contracts running in the IT digital category.
More specifically s/he will lead the following responsibilities:
- Track all projects being executed in terms of the contracts, budgets (estimated Vs actual spends), ensuring the contracts and Change orders are signed timely along with initiating vendor evaluation.
- Highlight proactively if there is a risk of actual spend overshoot in any particular project
- Provide all project management services for the implementation, including project planning, resource planning & management, communication plan, risk analysis, securing of support needed from other departments/streams, and project budgeting.
- Prepare and track all formal project correspondence to and from the stakeholder and distribute relevant information to management and the project team as applicable.
- Proactively identify potential risk, issues, & mitigation plan for entire implementation plan.
- Follow established change control procedures to manage overall project scope.
- Facilitate regular project team meetings including meetings with internal team members and client representatives.
- Ensures all project stakeholders are aligned on the agreed scope & goals of the project
- Responsible for oversight of creation, review and approval of all appropriate project and validation deliverables in line with the project RACI matrix
- Coordinate with various leads for project milestone-based payment to vendor partner upon successful completion of predefined milestones, coordinates with Business Partner/Product Owner and Finance team for invoice processing, etc.
- Follow up with various teams, including Legal and Finance for signatures of various contracts, change orders, order forms etc and generation of PR/PO.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelors in Engineering or Masters degree, preferably in computer science or related domain
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience gained in technology implementation, preferably in the Pharma space
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience gained as project manager
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills, anticipating and solving issues before they occur and can highlight the risks at the right time to leadership
- Ability to establish & grow strong relationships with project stakeholder and sponsors
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, especially conveying complex information in an understandable manner
- Self-starter, with the ability to work and execute independently with minimal oversight
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
- PMP/ PRINCE II certification is a plus, not mandatory

- Manage the specific assigned project end to end from project management standpoint from start to end as a PM
