Quality Control Manager - Plastic Flexible PackagingPosition: Quality Control ManagerLocation: Factory at Khatraj, Opp. Arvind Mills, Kalol, Gujarat (10-15 km from Gota / Sola Road / Ghatlodia / Chandlodia / Ranip / Ankur area Greater Ahmedabad)Company: Tekni Plex India Private LimitedWebsite: Tekni Plex - Tri-Seal BusinessKey Responsibilities:Product & Process Compliance:Review and ensure adherence to product and process specifications.
Monitor supplier compliance for raw materials and packaging, including COA and incoming inspections. Health & Safety Adherence:Enforce strict compliance with health and safety guidelines across all quality control activities. Team Leadership:Lead and train quality inspectors,
supporting them to perform their duties effectively and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
Quality Standards:Oversee product development processes to identify deviations from quality standards. Inspect finished goods according to customer requirements, approve quality products, and report defects to the Senior Quality Manager. Documentation & Reporting:Maintain precise documentation, perform statistical analysis, and submit detailed reports to executives on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements. Develop new procedures and drive continuous process improvements such as 5S, Kaizen, and TPM.Compliance & Audits:Support ISO/GMP internal audits, surveillance audits, and customer audits. Participate in handling customer complaints, preparing CAPA, and ensuring effective implementation and sustainability.
New Product Development:Conduct testing for new products and support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
Training:Train the shop floor team to enhance product quality and compliance with standards.
Skills & Experience Required:Core Knowledge & Skills:Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Food Safety Certification. Proficiency with 7 QC Tools, conducting Pharma customer audits, supplier audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Skilled in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Process Expertise:Strong experience in plastic extrusion, flexible packaging, and primary packaging processes. Soft Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-centric approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:Educational Background:Diploma in Plastic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience:A minimum of 12 years in quality control, preferably in the plastic flexible packaging or related industries.
