Senior Strategist, Trust and Safety, Commerceshare
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cyber-security, or related fields.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a business analysis, statistical analysis, or Machine Learning role.
- Experience in process/project management, with the ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
- Ability to solve unstructured business problems in fraud investigations and the risk management space.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process data to drive business strategies and decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
About the Job
Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing whats right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects to increase user safety or user experience, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales, and other Trust and Safety teams).
- Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements, and operational efficiency gains.
- Influence stakeholders to advance common goals and act as a point of contact.
- Provide guidance to team members, work with sensitive content and possibly graphic,
controversial, or upsetting topics/content.
