Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Operations (GDO)
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Experience: Experience completing work as directed, and collaborating with teammates; developing knowledge of relevant concepts and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in technical program management.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in technical scripting, data analytics, and data management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Agile, PMP, and other related program management certifications.
- Experience in mapping technologies or mapping operations.
- Track record of defining measurements and data quality metrics.
- Strong technical and business acumen with an ability to solve data and operational problems with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
- Strong project/program management skills.
About the Job:
A problem isnt truly solved until its solved for all. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, youll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You'll also be responsible for explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Geo Data Operations (GDO) aims to contribute to Geos mission by delivering geo data through innovative and cutting-edge operations. The Geo team focuses on building accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Execute well-defined projects under limited guidance.
- Work cross-functionally with program managers and product analysts to understand product roadmap and define data and analytics solutions.
- Design evaluations and experiments to vet product ideas and develop solutions from a Geo data perspective.
- Develop queries/scripts (Google SQL, Python) and data pipelines to analyze data sourcing and API traffic patterns.
- Create compelling presentations on data initiatives and communicate to a broad audience.
- Engage with stakeholders across different teams on reviewing PRDs and influencing the approach for new product launches.
