AGI Data Services is a global Machine Intelligence Data Services organization that provides a broad range of data labeling services for Machine Learning technologies such as Automatic Speech Recognition, Natural Language Understanding, Entity Resolution, Text-to-Speech, and Question Answering within and beyond the Alexa organization.
As a SysDev Engineer, you design and deliver technology solutions which solve difficult business problems for AGI Customers. You identify and solve ambiguous problems, architectural deficiencies,
or areas where your teams systems hinder the innovation of other teams, and are learning to do this for other teams in your organization. You consider the legacy of the systems you build with your team and how they will scale and evolve over time. Your solutions are pragmatic, efficient, and cost-effective. You make appropriate trade-offs and re-use or extend prior work where possible. When faced with short-term workarounds, you either avoid them entirely, take action to replace them with long-term solutions, or escalate their over-use as necessary. You thoroughly test your work. You automate and simplify development, test, and operational processes.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of the customers and have the ability to operate independently, autonomously and able to manage ambiguity. In addition to the technical skills, maturity, judgment, communication skills, negotiation skills and influencing skills are all essential as you interact with cross functional teams worldwide.
A successful team member will be skilled at anticipating bottlenecks, balancing business needs with technical constraints, and taking calculated risks to maximize value.

AGI Data Services is a key part of AGI org providing data creation, curation, and analytics services to help develop, test, and train the AI models. This organization generates ground truth data which is used to train machine learning models. The team works with various data formats such as audio, video, and images, and packages this information to be used by internal stakeholders (e.g., data modeling and product teams).
