We are looking for an experienced Java Developer skilled in building REST and SOAP web services, with additional expertise in UI development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSP. The role involves working on enterprise-level web applications, contributing to both development and maintenance efforts. A strong background in servlets and SQL is essential, while experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS is desirable and considered an advantage.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement RESTful and SOAP-based web services. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and understand web service requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Attend daily standup meetings to provide progress updates and align on project goals. Maintain and enhance existing web applications. Provide innovative, performance-optimized solutions for web applications.
Required Skills & Experience2-4 years of experience in Java/J2EE development and maintenance. Strong expertise in core Java and familiarity with design patterns in Java/J2EE applications. Experience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
Hands-on experience with servlets and industry-standard frameworks like Hibernate/Spring. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems). Sound understanding of object-oriented design concepts and algorithms.
Experience with web and application servers such as Apache and Tomcat. Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.Desirable SkillsExperience with the Spring Boot framework. Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure).
Exposure to Jenkins and continuous integration practices. Personal AttributesStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.
A detail-oriented and organized approach to work. Integrity, honesty, and a proactive mindset are essential. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Eagerness to learn new and emerging technologies.
