Job description : Decision Scientist Lead Product Marketing
Lead and implement advanced analytical initiatives through data analysis, ML model development, and insights to enable informed business decisions in LTL and .
Plan initiatives from concept to execution with minimal supervision and communicate results to a broad range of audiences.
Apply sound analytical expertise to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources to provide insights and recommend high-quality solutions to leadership across levels.
Effectively shares best practices and fosters knowledge sharing across teams. Provides cross-team and cross-org consultation and supports communities of practice excellence.
What your main responsibilities are :
- Work cross-functionally to analyze FedEx and competitor freight and LTL network. Present insights to senior executives with strong storytelling capability to drive insights out of data
- Leads development of advance analytical models to perform hypothesis testing and scenario creation for freight business growth.
Research and explore implications to customer experience, operations, revenue and provide relevant recommendations to aid decision making
- Mentor and lead junior team members in ensemble ML modeling, advanced statistical techniques, use of database tools and / or other approaches in quantitative analysis of complex business situations
- Take ownership of the end-to-end system from problem statement to solution delivery and leverage other teams if required
- Research and implement best practices to improve the existing decision science infrastructure. Stay up to date on decision science developments that may affect our business going forward

Qualifications & Specifications
- Relevant experience in LTL, TL and international freight from logistics, airline or ecommerce industries
- Education MBA / Masters in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics & statistics from tier 1 / 2 institutes
- Good to have data visualization (PowerBi, spotfire, etc.), ETL experience, NLP, text analytics, AI or deep learning
