Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good to have master’s degree in computer science.
- 5+ years of experience in IT licensing, with a focus on cloud-based licensing.
- Strong understanding of software licensing laws and regulations, including copyright laws, end-user license agreements (EULAs), and open-source licensing models.
- Experience with Azure pricing tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Operating System & software licenses (including but not limited to O365 / M365, RDS, 3rd party application, SQL etc) W.r.t. provisioning new licenses, renewing existing licenses, and managing license usage rights.
- Track consumption of All licenses and maintain compliance with OEMs and local governing policies.
- Track software usage, including analyzing usage trends, identifying areas for cost optimization, and recommending cost-saving measures.
- Manage cloud subscriptions, including provisioning, renewing and managing quotas.
- Track consumption includes analysis of usage trends, identifying areas of cost optimization and recommending cost savings measures.
- Manage Azure licensing compliance, ensuring that the organization is compliant with Microsoft’s.
- licensing agreements.
- Optimize licenses to manage cost.
- Stay up to date on the latest software licensing changes and best practices.
