As we grow, we are looking for a highly skilled Head of Finance to join our leadership team and drive financial strategy, operations, and growth. Position Overview:The Head of Finance will play a critical role in shaping and executing Gnani.ai’s financial strategy, ensuring the financial health of the company, and driving sustainable growth. As a key member of the executive team, you will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting,
forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance.
You will work closely with leadership to provide strategic insights, manage investor relations, and support the company’s growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals. Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, the board of directors, and regulatory bodies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and track performance against budget. Provide ongoing forecasts and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Cash Flow Management: Ensure strong cash flow management and financial discipline across the company.
Optimize working capital and manage liquidity to support day-to-day operations and future growth. Investor Relations: Work closely with the CEO to manage investor relations, including fundraising, financial presentations, and communication with potential and existing investors.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the company is compliant with all financial regulations and internal policies. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring a robust internal control environment. Financial Operations: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
Streamline and automate financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
Manage tax filings and regulatory compliance to ensure the company meets all statutory requirements. Optimize tax strategies and compliance to minimize risk and enhance financial performance.
Cost Management: Analyze and manage company costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements. Work with department heads to optimize resource allocation and reduce unnecessary expenditures. Leadership and Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, training, and development.
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A;) Support: Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts for any M&A; activities,
providing insights into financial performance and potential risks. Key Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
A CPA, CA, or MBA in Finance is highly preferred. Experience: 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within a SaaS, AI, or high-growth tech company. Experience in fundraising and investor relations is a strong advantage.
Skills:Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills. Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate governance. Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and deliver accurate financial reporting.
Strategic thinker with a track record of supporting business growth through financial planning and analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership, investors, and external stakeholders. Experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with automation tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights. Preferred Qualities:Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
