Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Deputy Team Lead/Design Engineer to join our engineering division. This role is ideal for candidates with proven experience in hydraulics or structural engineering, who also possess leadership capabilities. As a Deputy Team Lead, you will guide and mentor the design team, ensuring the highest quality of project outputs. As a Design Engineer, you will lead technical design efforts, manage complex projects, and ensure compliance with both client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Deputy Team Lead Responsibilities :
Assist the Team Lead in overseeing day-to-day team operations, ensuring that project milestones are met.
Provide leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Support project planning, including resource allocation , scheduling , and the management of budgetary constraints .
Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external clients, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes, aligning team objectives with broader organizational goals.
Step in to lead the team in the absence of the Team Lead, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
Design Engineer Responsibilities :
- Lead the technical design and development of hydraulic and structural projects, ensuring all work adheres to relevant engineering standards and regulations.
- Perform detailed analysis and design of hydraulic systems , structures , and related components using state-of-the-art design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports , drawings , and specifications to support project execution and client approval.
- Conduct site assessments and design reviews to identify potential risks and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure all deliverables are accurate and aligned with project objectives.
- Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and budget constraints, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Qualifications :
Educational Requirement :
Must hold a Master’s Degree in Hydraulics, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of post-graduation experience in design engineering, with a focus on hydraulics or structural engineering.
Proven experience in leading teams or managing projects in a design engineering environment.
