Service Now Admin Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Engineer to join our team. As a ServiceNow Admin, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting,





and enhancing the overall ServiceNow Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of platform capabilities (ITOM, ITAM, ITSM, CSM, HAM, SAM, CMDB, etc.) and best practices. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the ServiceNow ecosystem. Your role will play a critical part in ensuring optimal performance, usability, and availability of the overall ServiceNow Platform.

Responsibilities:

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business users, process owners, and other IT teams to gather requirements, understand pain points, analyze business requirements, and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and business analysts, to ensure seamless project execution.
- System Configuration: Lead and support the configuration, customization, and development of ServiceNow modules, workflows,





forms, scripts, and integrations.
- Integration and Automation: Configure, implement, and maintain ServiceNow integrations with other systems, both internal and external, using APIs and middleware. Identify automation opportunities and implement process improvements.
- Platform Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute platform upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Manage patch management activities to keep the platform up-to-date and secure.
- Incident and Problem Management: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Identify opportunities to optimize existing ServiceNow implementations for performance, efficiency, and user experience.






- Perform thorough testing and debugging of solutions to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Stay Up-to-date: Keep abreast of the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices. Continuously expand your knowledge and skills through self-learning, training, and certifications.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- ServiceNow certifications (CSM, ITSM, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform features, capabilities, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Engineer, with a track record of successful end-to-end ServiceNow upgrades, implementations, and customizations.






- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and modules.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST and SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and other integration methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams.
