Job Description:
Mechanical design engineer (4 to 6 years)
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D engineering design (Plastics, sheet metal and die casting parts) using Solidworks
- Experience in GD & T and stack up analysis
- Good understanding of core concepts in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
- Experience in design verification methods/tools to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance requirements
- Experience in estimating the part/product cost
- Knowledge on various machining processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in problem solving and ensuring designs meet the manufacturability requirements
- Ability to communicate/document technical information in a clear and understandable manner
- Experience in process evaluation and vendor follow up
- Diagnosing issues in the product/process and finding innovative and optimal solutions.
- Working experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) preferably Solidworks flow simulation is an added advantage.
