Job Title: Senior DevOps Architect Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: 10+ years in IT, with at least 5+ years in DevOps-related roles Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Architect to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes, along with a passion for designing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud platforms), containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC)
using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to automate testing, integration, and deployment.
- Design and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS/EKS.
- Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for performance, security, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, or ELK Stack.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices across the organization.
- Lead efforts in automation of cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Establish best practices for infrastructure security, reliability,
and disaster recovery, ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.
- Mentor and guide junior team members and engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and DevOps culture.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance, deployment automation, and infrastructure scalability.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and cloud infrastructure to ensure cutting-edge solutions are implemented.
Key Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Architecture, or similar roles.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but Azure or GCP also considered), including VPC design, IAM roles, security groups, EC2, S3, RDS, and more.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and monitoring principles in cloud environments.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, and expertise in automating cloud-based deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda.
- Knowledge of database management systems (RDS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.) and caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
- Experience with security tools and practices (e.g., AWS WAF, encryption, VPC peering).
- Experience working in Agile development environments and strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or leading DevOps teams.
