We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager with at least 8 years of experience in software development and team management. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers to deliver high-quality software products and solutions, manage project timelines, and ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices and career growth.
- Project Oversight: Plan and deliver software projects on time, maintaining quality and budget.
- Technical Strategy: Define architecture, frameworks, and Agile processes, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements and manage expectations.
- Code Quality: Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable software.
- Innovation & Roadmap: Shape the technical roadmap, introducing new tools and processes for productivity.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Resource Optimization: Balance workloads and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process and methodology enhancements for sustained performance.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in management or lead roles.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira.
- Strong background in system design and scalable, maintainable software architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risks and deliver effective solutions.
- Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in hiring, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
Additional Qualifications that will be a plus:
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and modern cloud-native application development.
- Experience in scaling teams and managing distributed or remote development teams.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like React & Angular.
