Description
Lead Financings (along with associated compliances) for the Renewables business segment of Apraava Energy Group. Drive long-term and short-term financings to support business investment decisions and raise funds at optimal rates.
- Lead negotiations with bankers / lenders and provide support to the overall financing process to obtain most favorable terms for Apraava Energy minimizing cost of borrowing
- Drive transaction closure for identified and approved transactions in direct co-ordination with banks, counsels and other internal / external stake-holders
- Finalize the financing model in collaboration with the financing party; Submit to Head – Corporate Finance & Treasury for review
- Effectively maintain a repository of all related documents and seek necessary approvals to implement the financing arrangement
- Analyse and implement capital market instruments to meet funding requirements of Apraava Energy, diversifying the funding base and minimizing cost of borrowing
- Manage loan accounts for Apraava Energy ensuring timely disbursement of funds and compliance to all terms and conditions listed in loan document
- Develop and monitor internal control systems to ensure that all loan payments and internal & external reporting are performed in compliance to the legal and statutory requirements for the Renewables Business
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure best financing deals for Apraava Energy (Renewables Business) and ensure compliances are met
- Network with bankers (public sector, private sector and foreign banks), financial institutions and debt capital market investors
- Deal directly with external stake-holders such as SEBI, RBI,
BSE/NSE and ensure that all compliances are met in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong relationships with consultants and other stake-holders to get market intelligence
- Work proactively with all 3 rating agencies to improve / retain Apraava Energy’s credit rating basis company’s performance and growth potential to showcase the company as a good investment opportunity for debt capital market investors
Effectively implement various hedging strategies to minimize risk to Apraava Energy due to foreign currency exposure
- Identify and evaluate different hedging instruments available with respect to pricing and cost effectiveness
- Suggest suitable modifications to the hedging strategy for any new project basis market conditions, regulatory norms and accounting impact.
Coordinate with banks to finalize the optimum hedging strategy ensuring minimum risks associated with Apraava Energy’s foreign currency exposure; Submit to Senior Vice President - Corporate Finance Treasury for review
- Act as Authorized Dealer as per RBI requirement for conducting hedging transactions on behalf of the Company
- Periodically evaluate the performance of hedges by monitoring the MTM gain / loss monthly
Execute treasury related processes to ensure timely availability of funds for Apraava Energy and maximum returns on investments
- Periodically assist in the review of the treasury policy, investment policy, limits of banks, credit rating of banks, list of signatories and make appropriate modifications basis market conditions,
banks’ performance; Seek necessary approvals
- Identify banks to finance working capital requirements of Apraava Energy; Negotiate on terms of financing ensuring optimum cost of financing
- Identify instruments for investment of surplus funds; Finalize the investment method maximising the return on investment and seek approval
- Keep abreast of changes in regulatory framework related to finance and treasury; Communicate their impact to Senior Vice President - Corporate Finance Treasury
- Effective maintain all documents related to project finance and treasury for future reference and to facilitate internal / external audits
