Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing and Sales Intern to join our team. This role will focus on enhancing our online presence, managing content creation, engaging with our audience,
and driving sales through various channels. The ideal candidate should be creative, analytical, and passionate about sustainability and traditional crafts.
Key Responsibilities:
Website & Social Media Management:
- Develop and manage the content calendar for all social media platforms.
- Create visually appealing and engaging content for social media posts, including themes, topics, and posting schedules.
- Utilise hashtags and targeted advertising to expand the reach of social media campaigns.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly.
- Share content in relevant social media groups (e.g., Facebook Groups, LinkedIn Groups, WhatsApp Groups).
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and optimize future efforts.
Content Creation & SEO:
- Perform SEO checklists on the website (Shopify or Wix).
- Conduct keyword research to identify relevant search terms related to EarthyWeaves.
- Optimise website content, including product descriptions,
blog posts, and meta tags, with targeted keywords.
- Regularly update and maintain website content.
Email Marketing & WhatsApp Communication:
- Create personalized email content that delivers value and encourages engagement.
- Utilise WhatsApp for direct messaging and group shares (1-2 times per week).
- Set up automated messaging sequences for lead generation and customer communication.
- Share exclusive offers and updates with WhatsApp subscribers.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and feedback via WhatsApp.
- Collect customer feedback and reviews through WhatsApp.
Partnerships & Collaborations:
- Identify and reach out to potential collaborators in the fashion, sustainability, and lifestyle industries.
- Develop and propose partnership opportunities to influencers, celebrities, business leaders, stylists, and creative directors.
- Implement PR strategies to generate buzz and media coverage for collaborations.
- Measure the success of collaboration efforts through metrics such as reach, engagement, and brand sentiment.
Retail & B2B Outreach:
- Shortlist and partner with local retailers and boutiques.
- Identify potential B2B clients including schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, yoga/retreat centres, and clubs.
- Develop strategies to secure and manage B2B orders.
Marketplace Management:
- Upload and manage product listings on online marketplaces.
- Monitor sales and performance metrics on these platforms.
- Implement promotional strategies such as discounts,
deals, and sponsored listings.
- Continuously optimize product listings and marketing strategies.
- Create a list and reach out to international platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any stream, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and SEO.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn and use marketing tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously.
- Passion for sustainability and traditional crafts is a plus.
