Key Responsibilities:
Engage with the client's manufacturing managers, IT, and operations teams to identify and document their specific business requirements for the MES application.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to understand current processes and gather needs for the future-state MES solution.
Act as a liaison between the client and development teams, ensuring that all business requirements are captured, understood, and agreed upon.
Develop detailed functional and technical specifications based on client requirements, ensuring the MES solution addresses key business objectives.
Work closely with developers and solution architects to create designs that meet client expectations while adhering to industry best practices.
Ensure that all documentation is client-facing, clear, and consistent with the project's objectives.
Create and maintain detailed process maps and workflows, documenting the client's current and desired manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with client teams to review and validate process changes, ensuring all business needs are captured effectively.
Provide input into the MES solution design, ensuring alignment with the client's operational needs and efficiency targets.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure client feedback is integrated into the system design and configuration.
Support the client through the testing phases, including the creation of test scripts and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT).
Support the project manager in defining timelines, deliverables, and project scope, ensuring alignment with the client's business goals.
Monitor the project's progress,
providing regular updates to the client and internal teams, and helping to mitigate any risks or issues.
Ensure effective communication between all parties involved, facilitating a smooth implementation process for the client.
Provide ongoing support to the client post-implementation, identifying opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations.
Monitor the performance of the MES solution and suggest enhancements to ensure the system continues to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on manufacturing industry clients.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes,
shop floor control, and data collection.
Expertise in business process mapping, workflow design, and re-engineering for manufacturing environments.
Experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, GE, etc.) and ERP systems integration.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with client stakeholders.
Experience working with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma certification.
Experience with SQL and reporting tools for system validation.
Experience with cloud-based MES systems and Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI, etc.).
