This is a remote position.
We areseeking a AWS DevOps Engineer. This role is specificallydesigned for a seasoned DevOps Engineer with substantial handsonexperience in AWS CDK.
Responsibilities:
- AWS CDK Mastery: Leadthe design development and maintenance of AWS infrastructure usingAWS CDK and Typescript ensuring best practices and optimalperformance.
- Advanced AWS ServicesManagement: Manage configure and optimize a broad range of AWSservices including but not limited to EC2 EKSECR
- Cognito Lambda RDS S3IAM andCloudFront.
- Service MeshExpertise: Architect build and sustain Istio service mesh withinEKS clusters to ensure seamless and secure serviceinteractions.
- Technical Leadership:Provide authoritative guidance and technical leadership in theimplementation of AWS cloud infrastructure influencing andmentoring diverseteams.
- ComprehensiveTesting: Develop and maintain robust unit and integration tests toguarantee infrastructure as code (IaC) integrity andreliability.
- CI/CD Implementation:Spearhead the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelinesautomating the deployment of infrastructure and applications formaximumefficiency.
- Monitoring &Performance; Optimization: Collect telemetry set up comprehensivemonitoring systems dashboards and alerts utilizing tools such asFluentBit CloudWatch and Dynatrace to gain deep insights into cloudoperations and applicationperformance.
- Monitor andtroubleshoot performance issues ensuring high availability andoptimal performance of infrastructure andservices.
- Use Helm charts topackage necessary resources and configurations streamlineinstalling upgrading fetching dependencies and configuringdeployments onEKS.
- Collaboration& Optimization: Collaborate closely with software engineersto optimize application performance and reliability in AWSenvironments.
- Security &Compliance;: Implement and enforce security best practices andcompliance controls ensuring the AWS environment adheres to thehighest operational and securitystandards.
Requirements
- AWS CDK Expertise:Minimum 4 years of handson experience in AWS CDK development usingTypescript.
- EKS Development: Atleast 8 years of experience in developing and managing AWS serviceswith a strong focus on AmazonEKS.
- Service Mesh: 4 yearsof experience in designing building and maintaining service meshlike Istio within an EKSenvironment.
- AWS ServicesDevelopment:
8 years of extensive experience in developing andmanaging various AWS services including EC2 EKS ECR S3 CognitoNLB.
- Containers:experience working with Docker containers and microservicesframework.
- Helm charts:experience working with Helmcharts.
- Scripting Languages:Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript with at least6 years ofexperience.
- CI/CD Tools Mastery:8 years of experience building pipelines using CI/CD tools such asJenkins GitHub GitHub Actionsetc.
- AWS WellArchitectedFrameworks: A solid understanding of AWS WellArchitected Frameworkswith a minimum of 4 years ofexperience.
- Networking Concepts:Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IPDNS HTTP SSL/TLS) with 8 years ofexperience.
- Security BestPractices:
6 years of solid experience in implementing securitybest practices within AWSenvironments.
- ConfigurationManagement & Orchestration tools to ensure cloudenvironments meet operational and securitystandards.
PreferredSkills:
- AWS certificationssuch as AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOpsEngineer etc.
- Strong communication andcollaborationabilities.
- Experience working in an Agileenvironment.
- Previous experience in the publicsector or on largescale projects is aplus.
