We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead our efforts in selling KisanKraft products (including agriculture equipment and power tools) through government tenders and institutional sales channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the agriculture industry, relevant government departments and private institutions along with a proven track record in managing complex sales processes within a B2B environment.
Government Tender Manager will bid for tenders by government agencies across North India, handles all the documentations, compliance processes and follow-ups.
You must be an established leader and have the capability to lead people of different skills
· You must take end-to-end responsibility for your area.
· You should work well with many other departments e.g., management, sales, accounts, administration, branding, warehouse etc. to improve the performance of the company.
· You must also be fluent in English to read and understand various documents, work with government agencies all over India.
Location: North India
Qualification: MBA, BBM, B. Com, B.Sc. (Agri) or B.Tech. (Agri)
Required experience: Minimum 5-6 years of experience in similar Roles.
Job Description:
1. Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Planning:
a. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to capture government tenders (e-tender and offline tenders) and institutional contracts.
b. Identify and target key government agencies, institutions, and organizations for business development in North of India.
2. Tender Management:
a. Oversee the end-to-end preparation, attend pre-bid clarification meetings, submission, and management of tenders and proposals.

Addressing queries during scrutiny and evaluation, attending rate negotiation for approvals and empanelment.
b. Ensure complete compliance with tender requirements and deadlines.
c. Ensuring empanelment of KisanKraft products under departmental subsidy programs – PAN INDIA (with departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Development boards for various crops e.g., spices, tobacco, coconut, tea, coffee, etc.; and various bodies like State Agros or Beej Nigam).
d. Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and information for tenders.
3. Client Relationship Management:
a. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, institutional buyers, and other key stakeholders.
b. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process and after-sales support.
4. Sales Strategy & Execution:
a. Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
b. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
c. Map various business opportunities with government, semi government organizations, various agriculture-based Institutions and corporates across India and to implement plan of action for business growth.
d. Proactively engaging with influencers in government departments to understand and get product approvals.
e. To support KisanKraft authorized dealers with empanelment copies,
appropriate approvals and authorizations, test reports, technical specifications, literature, and other necessary guidance to participate in various e-tenders (L-1 tenders).
f. Ensure compliance with tender terms and conditions laid down by government department from time to time for subsidy sales.
g. Keeping track of Earnest Money Deposits, Performance Guarantee Deposits with government organizations and follow up on refunds & responsible for submission of fortnightly report to management.
h. Keep track of opportunities through tender emails, websites of government and semi-government organizations, follow-up with sales teams across all states, GEM portal etc.
i. Keep track of certifications from various institutions like FMTTI, BIS, etc.
and follow up to obtain renewals before expiry and to obtain new product certifications as needed.
5. Contract Negotiation:
a. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable contracts and agreements.
b. Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Product Knowledge & Training:
a. Stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and government procurement policies.
b. Provide training and support to the sales team on product features and benefits.

Our in-house IT (software development) team has developed applications for digitalization of agriculture, automation of business processes, and manufacturing planning. We have data driven and analytical modelling for decision making.
