Job description
Overall purpose
Join our dynamic team at Regent Group as a Student records and Integration Developer, where you'll contribute to the growth and evolution of our business by developing key systems and ensuring seamless integration. Regent Group is committed to providing quality education through various services, from tuition and secondary school to further and higher education, and executive leadership courses.
As a student records and Integration Developer,
you'll be responsible for designing and developing functionalities within the UNIT-E system, SIMS, focus on SQL skills, SQL Database management, and integration with other systems. Your role is crucial in enhancing our operational processes and tools, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
You'll collaborate with a small, dedicated team, working on both major initiatives and smaller system improvements. The role offers opportunities to expand your skills in SQL, database management, and integration technologies.
Specific duties and responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions within the student record systems to support student administration processes and connect with the other applications using API’s.
- Develop and support integrations between UNIT-E/SIMS and other systems used by Regent Group.
- Design solutions for SQL-based Power Automate to enhance student journey and administration.
- Provide consulting on solution design for developing new products around student systems.
- Develop SQL-based Power Automate flows to facilitate interactions between systems and automate operational processes.
- Review and assess change requests related to Production and UAT environments.
- Develop and implement change requests to Production and UAT environments.
- Manage business-as-usual tasks related to Student record systems, including user management and environment maintenance.
- Resolve issues and bugs related to the Software Applications.
- Conduct testing, including internal and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Deploy new functionality within the system to live use.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage stakeholder needs and expectations through effective communication.

Person Specification
EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES
Essential:
- Proven experience as a developer with at least 3 years of experience in Student record systems.
- Proficient in SQL, including database management and integration skills.
- Experience with SaaS platforms and API integrations.
- Familiarity with project-based environments and team collaboration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong skills with Agile development and delivery
- Focus on continuous improvement continuous development to improve Business processes.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a development team.
Desirable:
- Experience delivering new systems and implementing major changes.
- Familiarity with C# and .Net.
- Understanding of Azure and virtual hosting.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Essential
Proficiency in English language for collaboration with UK and international teams.Knowledge of the Power Platform,
including Power Automate.Excellent analytical and documentation skills.Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server.Familiarity with modern software design, development methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., Agile/Scrum).Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and bare-metal systems.Working knowledge of development within student record systems.Working knowledge of API’s and integration with other systems and data warehouse.
Desirable:
Wider skill range of development technologiesDecent understanding of Azure and Virtual hosting.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
