Roles and Responsibilities
Asst. IT Manager are high-level IT personnel who design, install, and maintain a company's Infrastructure. Asst. IT Manager require to coordinate, support and guide schools in the IT Infrastructure areas and work towards strengthening their capacity. Responsible for testing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems to meet the needs of the employer. Asst. IT Manager may also be required to train staff and manage projects. Following are the range of specific duties and responsibilities of the Asst. IT Manager which will include looking after school networks, install, order and maintain software and hardware and provide technical support to teachers, staff and pupils. Asst.
IT Manager work by himself and as part of teams, depending on the size of the school and its ICT requirements but will not be limited to the following:
- Assisting the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
- Monitor the operation and security of all computer hardware and ensure that it is operating properly
- Maintain accurate inventory and record of all hardware, software and manuals purchased by the school
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives with IT Manager
- Making plans using detailed drawings
- Assisting IT Manager for preparing estimates and budgets
- Creating accurate project specifications.
- Designing Infrastructure experiments.
- Creating technical reports for Employer.
- Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues.
- Maintaining large scale computer systems,
- Ability to project manage and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Designing and maintaining a dynamic and stable system to meet the needs of the school.
- Submitting MIS to the Management on time
- Up-keeping & maintaining of IT records.
- Understanding every employee needs and providing specific help/support.
- Handling additional responsibilities assigned from time to time.
- Updating own subject knowledge and competencies.
- Spending additional time in the school beyond school hours without demanding any additional compensation, if situation so demands.
- Meeting with the IT Manager to discuss system needs.
- Designing and installing computer hardware configurations.
- Installing software and networking systems.
- Troubleshooting network and software issues.
- Installing high-level software security systems.
- Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
- Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Responding to general IT requests.
- Ensuring security software is kept up to date.
- Filing monthly reports for the IT Manager.
- Ensure adherence to the school policies and processes.
- Keeping yourself aware and updated on all applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations and procedures related to the job.
- Be aware of all school policies as determined by the School management
- Ensure compliance related to the job.
- Such other duties as may be assigned by the School leadership team.
- Handling, troubleshooting, support on Microsoft Teams Education / Office 365 to Staff
- Coordination for installing necessary application on New Machine (Desktop /Laptop/NComputing)
- Install and Configure Printer to staff
- Configuring and Uploading School Bell Timing to PA System
- Provide technical Support to staff on MS Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Provide Color Print copy to staff as required
- Supporting while printing Academic Report / Grade Card
- Handling and troubleshooting Desktops / N-Computing machine of Computer Labs / Library
- Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
- Patching of network and phones
- Mailbox maintenance including archiving mailboxes
Desired Candidate Profile
3-5 Years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Support role
