Important: Candidate must be available to attend office - 2pm to 11pm - Monday to Friday.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Respond to phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate party, return calls and respond to voicemails
2. Schedule and confirm appointments
3. Record patients' information in practice software
4. Verify and collect insurance documents and post payments
5. Submit billing information to the billing providers
6. Handle administrative functions to support the clinic, including photocopying, data entry, prior authorizations, faxing, obtaining records, etc.
7. Coordinate telephone communication with patients, families,
referring providers and other members of the health team and utilize a follow-up system to assure care
8. Utilize scripted callbacks to relay messages from the clinical licensed professional
9. Obtain the patients' medical history and previous test/scan results
10. Document results and patient information in appropriate systems
11. Schedule and obtain authorizations for diagnostic tests at the physician's request
12. Handle other duties as assigned
