Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in hardware and network management, patch management, vulnerability assessments, and security systems, including IDPS and firewalls. This position is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of servers, switches, and network equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware & Network Management:
- Manage,
troubleshoot, and support IT hardware, including servers, switches, and network devices.
- Install and configure network infrastructure, such as LAN/WAN, Aruba devices, and firewalls.
- Experience with Palo Alto is preferred.
- Optimize network performance by managing bandwidth and resolving connectivity issues.
Patch Management:
- Regularly apply patches and updates to operating systems, software, and firmware.
- Ensure timely patching of servers, network devices, and critical systems to reduce vulnerabilities.
Vulnerability Assessment & Security:
- Perform vulnerability assessments, identify risks, and implement remediation measures.
- Manage and maintain Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) for threat protection.
- Monitor security logs and respond to suspicious activity or potential security incidents.
Firewall & Security Configuration:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and other network security systems.
- Implement firewall rules in compliance with security policies and best practices.
Server Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain server infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and other platforms.
- Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) is required.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, as well as cloud servers.
- Monitor server performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
Platform Management:
- Support and maintain interoperability across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery plans, and multi-platform environments.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain thorough documentation of IT infrastructure, network configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols,
and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Expertise in networking hardware, servers, firewalls, and switching technologies.
- Strong knowledge of patch management and vulnerability detection tools.
- Hands-on experience with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS).
- Proficient in managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security systems.
- Proficiency in multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
